I'm a dress-wearing fiction editor with a -- sometimes unhealthy -- love of books, sports, coffee, and romance. I hate the sound pencil makes on paper, always (ALWAYS) have random numbers flying around my head, and thrive on improving other people's stories and writing.
After agenting for a few years, I realized I find helping authors make their work shine way more rewarding than having to send out rejections on a daily basis. Editing gives me the feeling to contribute to a writer's journey in a positive and encouraging way, and it's such a privilege to support writers on their road to (self-)publication.
I hold Masters of Arts in "Media and Communication Studies", "Creative Writing", and "Publishing", and had my own boutique literary agency for five years.
My years as a hands-on and editorial literary agent have helped me develop an eye for detail as well as the skill to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a manuscript. I know how to get your English- or German-language manuscript in shape without compromising your voice.
I don't believe in sugar-coating, so you can count on me giving you honest feedback. I'm extremely passionate about well-crafted stories, compelling characters, and engaging writing, and I promise I will bring all my publishing knowledge and enthusiasm into the edits -- and your manuscript.
